					<description><![CDATA[Thanks for this!  I only wish this had been around when I took over an existing team in December 2014.  Up until that point I had worked at a very small company from the day it opened until the day it closed.  Although I&#039;d led a small two-person team and indirectly managed others, I&#039;d never in my career taken over an existing team.  It was so much harder than I thought it would be!  I had a very vague idea of what I should be doing, but nothing prepared me for the interpersonal dynamics of dealing with two people who were the whole department until that point; in addition to myself, two other people were added and we all started on the same date.  I got through it, but I suspect I would have had better results in a shorter amount of time if I&#039;d had this information.]]></description>
