If they use one of the popular ones, they will be putting confidential information they are legally required to keep private into a public database that will, 100% certain, be used to formulate answers for others. This can cost a lawyer their license to practice.

Given how many news stories we’ve all seen about lawyers getting in trouble for using ChatGPT to cite case law that doesn’t exist, it’s no surprise their profession is leading the way in figure it all out.
