If employees are scheduled to begin working at 6 a.m., but no one from management shows up until 7 a.m. to unlock the doors, can the workers be penalized and docked an hour of pay?

  1. From Suzanne’s response:
“The fact that this even crossed the minds of someone at your company makes me concerned that employees aren’t valued as they should be.”

Seriously, how can someone even ask this question!

  2. The second question is that manager going to get docked in pay for being late? If the manager is getting paid then there’s absolutely no reason to not pay the employees because the manager was late. Also in situations like this, there should have been another designated key holder in the group of employees, just in case of situations like this.
