The Problems HR Tech Will (Hopefully) Solve in 2020

Technology has made our lives better. The fact that we have clean water, electricity and I’m writing this while a robot vacuums my living room and torments my cats means that my life is more comfortable and safe than my ancestors’ lives.

But, technology doesn’t make everything better, and there are limits, especially in the area of Human Resources. While HR Tech is always a hot topic of conversation in the Human Resources space and something businesses should be focusing on.

So this year at Unleash World in Paris, I spoke with several HR Tech companies about the problems they are looking to solve. Here’s what they said.

Problem: Employee satisfaction and turnover.

  1. Interesting and helpful article.

    But about stress and tension. Before I realized these were comments by service/product providers, I expected to see something about removing/remediating stress and tension causes. Then I looked at the provider’s web site and saw their offering, and realized that AI and robots really are taking over the world — looks like massagers are going to be going the way of office typists and telephone switchboard operators.

  2. Maybe one of the vendors can produce an app that will translate things like this into something understandable that makes sense.

    “We solve the talent experience problem by offering superior interfaces in user interface and user experience. We take that data and reduce time and cost per hire and as well as increase quality.”

  3. Ugh, I dislike that companies like these focus on Millennial’s career tracks and Millennial’s engagement and employment cycle. They don’t care that ALL EMPLOYEES may like access to custom career tracks, training, and other activities that create engagement.

  4. “You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.” Henry Ford. Stop using business solutions to solve educational problems. Start using educational solutions to solve business problems.
