Hybrid work is not the best of both worlds, according to an article in the Harvard Business Review from Wharton School Professor Peter Cappelli and HR strategist Ranya Nehmeh. And to be honest, I started this article with a closed mind because hybrid work is my favorite work schedule. I believe in the power of people working together, in the same space, and yet, I am also writing this in my bedroom, while wearing a bathrobe.
Hybrid work arrangements make sense, but as Cappelli and Nehmeh laid out the problems they can create, their reasoning made sense as well. Hybrid can work, but making it work can be complicated.

By now, we’re all familiar with how loud remote work promoters’ voices are. If you say you support the return to office, they will come out of their hiding places and blast you on LinkedIn for being a controlling micromanager. Or threaten violence, like this:
